Role of CarpoACE

Technical assistance in the design, development and management of the innovation project to apply for funding from the grant application authorities. Additionally, the client was assisted in the development and presentation of technical and economic reports for the recovery of approved funds.

Financial support

Grant for SMEs PMT-PIT2 FONTAR. Operator: National Agency for the Promotion of Research, Technological Development and Innovation (ANPCyT). Funds: 50% National Treasury and 50% Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID).

Result

Laboratorio Biológico de Tandil has successfully achieved after four years of R+D and the financial support of the BID and ANPCyT, the development of the first global vaccine against TVB, having been approved in 2004 by the Directorate of Animal Laboratory, belonging to the General Directorate of Laboratories and Technical Control of SENASA (National Service of Health and Agrifood Quality). This vaccine is marketed in the domestic market of Argentina and in some neighboring countries under the trade name of Tricovac©

SMEs in the Food and Beverage Sector

The Challenge

Balance the capacity of own production of packaging and ensure just-in-time supply under quality standards. Innovate in state-of-the-art technology in the production of package and juices and their associated support services.

Role of CarpoACE

Provide technical assistance in the design, development, presentation and management of the technological innovation project before the authorities applying the aid to apply for the exception of import duties outside the Mercosur (DIE) of production machines and equipment. Presentation, management and follow-up until obtaining the Resolution approving the benefit.

Import Regime of Goods Forming Part of Large Investment Projects. Resolution No. 256/2000 Ministry of Economy.
Operator: Jointly, Secretariat of Foreign Trade, and Secretariat of Industry under the Ministry of Production and Labor. Funds: National Treasury.

Result

Pico de Oro has obtained the benefit of a reduction from 28% to 0% in the DIE for the importation of new capital goods members of a PET bottle blowing line, an aseptic juice packaging line in tetra-pack and a complete plant for the transformation of high to medium voltage electrical energy.

SMEs in the knitting textile sector

The challenge

Improve the competitiveness of a group of ten textile knitting companies in Mar del Plata, Province of Buenos Aires – Argentina, in order to increase their industrial and commercial performance, enhance their design and fashion capacity and increase exports.

The project proposes the repositioning of the knitted textile industry acting on the following strategic lines:

  • The export capacity of companies, in order to win new markets and expand external sales.
  • Quality management in group companies, and achieve product differentiation based on quality.
  • The incorporation of raw material testing technologies and production processes that improve the productivity and quality of garments.
  • The development of creative competence and the design of knitted fabrics to enhance local design capacity, improving the image of Mar del Plata product.
  • The level of training of management in the management of the company and financing, aspects related to production and technology, and tasks related to administrative and commercial areas.
  • The organizational obstacles for the scaling and improvement of the management of the companies adhered to the project incorporating strategic planning tools.
    This project is sponsored and promoted by the Textile Chamber of Mar del Plata (CTX), the Municipality of General Pueyrredón and the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI-Textiles).

Role of CarpoACE

Technical assistance in the design, development and management of the innovation project to apply for funding from the grant application authorities.

Define the action and operational plan of the strategic lines of export capacity, quality management, and management training. Implement and coordinate the actions established with the participating companies and the promoting institutions.

Monitoring of the execution of the actions of the remaining strategic lines.

Grant of up to 75% of the total amount of the project. INVERPYME Program. Operator: Ministry of Economy of the Province of Buenos Aires.

Result

The project has Punto.AR allowed the realization of a Textile Mission to Europe with funds from the BID. Participate in business round and visit to the ITMA Fair (Paris) and textile institutes in Barcelona and Valencia (Spain) promoting inter-institutional links with the CTX and the UCIP (Union of Commerce, Industry and Production of Mar del Plata).

In addition, it has allowed the promotion of anti- dumping measures on textile imports sponsored by the UIA (Argentine Industrial Union).

As a result of the presentation and execution of this project, the CTX and the companies have obtained a subsidy of 73% of the total cost. Sponsored by: Municipality of General Pueyrredón and the National Institute of Industrial Technology.
